I'm Mildred Drake, my parents were H.E. and Olis Wills. I was born, August 12, 1934 in Hamilton, Ohio. When I was 9 months old, my parents bought a farm in Butler County. I was reared on the farm. I have three sisters, all live in Middletown, Ohio. Since there were no boys, I worked on the farm like a boy/man. Guess that is why I love to work outside in the yard and garden. I was taught to work hard, be honest, dress modest, live right, treat people right, keep the right company and help others. My father was not a Christian, but wanted his girls to hold a high standard. He would not let us go to a dance or party or movie. Wouldn't it be wonderful if ALL professed Christians would hold this standard? Mother or Daddy were with us or knew exactly where we were at all times....what a blessing to care that much for us. I attended school the first nine years at "Wayne Township School" a very nice school in Butler County, Ohio. My parents divorced when I was 14 years old and I moved to Middletown with my Mother and sisters. I attended and graduated from Middletown High School. I majored in business and Co-Oped at Gardner Board and Carton Company, so I had a full time job when I graduated from High School. Mother always took us to Sunday School and Church. When we moved to Middletown, we attended the Crawford Street First Church Of God, where Bro. R.C. Caudill was pastor. God really dealt with my heart and at 15 years of age, I gave my life to God. God has been so faithful and answered many, many prayers. Entertainment was soul winning. visiting and praying for other youth and their families.....What a joy to see whole families saved during a revival or regular services. We had a new girl from Kentucky who came to spend the summer with her aunt and uncle (Bill and Jessie Ruth Martin). She was a beautiful little Christian girl. As we got better acquainted and shared our prayer request, she ask us to prayer her brother (the only one in their family that was not saved). One day she said her brother might come to church, if she could get him a date. Lois asked me if I would go out with him after church, if he would come. I said I would. After many Revivals and Church Services, Don was saved in an Old Tent Meeting. We were united in marriage December 29, 1951. To continue my story, visit Don.

I smile every time someone calls with an answered prayer or to share something the Lord has done in their life. It is amazing to watch God work in His children and see them grow and change to the glory of God. I enjoy working with Cindy, Lois, Sandy, Joshua and all our volunteers. We all work together well, Sometimes laughing, sometimes crying but always loving each other. The Lord has blessed us with a wonderful team that is truly like family.

I am the general manger of the station. Also, the music director which means I choose the songs we play. Another responsibility is WDFB's late afternoon, evening and weekend deejay. I do some editing/programming which means I am responsible for getting some programs on the air. I answer the phones and enjoy listening to and praying for people. The station is my life. It is a blessing, an encouragement and food for my soul. WDFB friends are like my family. |
ONE of My Favorite Scriptures:
II Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom [him whom] I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. |
